We imagine it’s no fun being blind. But we imagine that a being at a blind wine tasting, well, that’s a good time!
Blind wine tastings don’t happen often enough. They’re a great way to hone your skills at pegging the region, varietal, or tasting notes behind any vino. They’re also a great way to find out you don’t know sh*t about wine (kidding, maybe it’s just us).
Regardless, Cowboy Ciao’s got a fun one planned for Thursday, May 23 at 6:30pm. Here’s the format:
You’ll sit at a table for eight to 10 and face five courses of food from Ciao chefs. Each course will have two paired wines. You’ll discuss which wine you think is a better fit, and then learn what the wines actually are.
Eric Glomski, winemaker for AZ’s own Page Spring Cellars, will be on hand, so you better not say any of his wines suck. Kidding. Ciao owner and wine guy, Peter Kasperski will do the pouring and explain any of the non-AZ wines being poured as well.
Should be fun, should be delicious, should be a great opportunity to learn a thing or two – which never sucks.
It costs $60 per person. Make reservations at 480-WINE-111.
