Most of us who cook outside on the grill use propane or charcoal as the heat source. Occasionally, you might take the time to smoke something, placing wet wood chips near the heat source to smoke food at low temps. But what if you want to cook at high temperatures directly over old school burning wood? You’ve either gotta dig a hole in the ground and figure out how to get grates over the fire, or buy a tank.

A tank, in this case, comes in the form of a Engelbrecht 1000 Series Original Braten Grill. The thing is made of the thickest steel available on a grill, with grates that can handle the 1,000 degrees of direct heat put off by fully burning wood. Even the wheels on this thing are made of steel. Why? Most people have jewelry or dishes or something to pass down as a family heirloom. Engelbrecht wants you to pass down this grill.

You may also want to check out the accessories column on the right. Your grand kids might also appreciate a pair of heat-resistant gloves with this thing. It costs about $1,900. Check it out here: www.grillsandcookers.com/1000-original-grill.php
