Time To Call The Demo Team
Event,Featured Posts,The Dish
Picture this: it’s Sunday afternoon, about 12:30, you’re in the Whole Foods Market off Mayo Blvd. and standing there wondering why the hell organic berries cost so damn much. Then you hear an announcement overhead – it’s not “flax seed is on sale,” it’s something that makes you wonder why you’re shopping for fruit and not for giant slabs of meat. “Learn how to make competition-quality barbecue at home. Visit our demo stage in 30 minutes. Seats are still available.”
Then you throw your cage-free eggs back in the cooler and take your seat. At 1pm, the group who took first place in last years’ Arizona Barbecue Festival assume their position at the Sub-Zero/Wolf Demo Stage over by the hot foods section, and they begin to school the audience about the ways of a seasoned BBQ competitor. Alexa and Vince from team Rhythm N’ Que will teach their audience how to make great ribs and pulled pork during the hour-long demo. We promise, this demo will be fun and laid-back, and you’ll walk away with some great recipes. You’ll also get to try some Rhythm N’ Que’s work before the big show in a couple weeks.
We’ll be on hand to raffle off tickets to the Arizona Barbecue Festival as well. So stop by Whole Foods Market this Sunday, March 13th, for the 1pm cooking demo. They’ll hold a seat for you if you call ahead (info below). While you’re there, maybe splurge and pick up some organic berries. They’re totally worth it.
