MEXICAN WRESTLERS ADDED TO ARIZONA TACO FESTIVAL!
The Dish
We all know the food festival formula: good food, great cocktails, cooking demos, live music, etc. Something unexpected had to happen at our Arizona Taco Festival (as if 30 restaurants, 100 tequilas, and a hot chili pepper eating contest wasn’t enough).
Ladies and gentleman, we give you:
LUCHA LIBRE WRESTLING!
Octagóncito, one of Mexico’s most feared and revered luchadores from the “Los Minis” Division (and you know what we mean by “mini!”) is scheduled to come in and kick some serious lucha sustantivo! Local group Pirana Promotions is setting up a full ring for a gang of masked marauders who will flip, tumble, clothesline, and headlock throughout the day as you enjoy tacos, tequila, and all the other good stuff being offered.
The wrestling matches will last about 3 hours and start around noon. They’re free to watch once you’re inside ($10 entry, kids under 12 free). Throughout the day, Luchadores will be available for photo opps and ass kickings. Get your Taco Fest tickets now! www.aztacofestival.com.
