If anybody knows how to make a good bagel, it’s Mark Strausman. For one, just listen to that accent, fuggedaboudit? Two, he’s the Executive Chef for Fred’s New York IN New York. Three, you can watch the guy make those bagels the correct way in this new video he shot in his Fred’s kitchen. Fagels (that’s what you get when you cross a foodie with a bagel) will love to see how he makes them so they can try at home. Others might love simply watching the bagel boy do his thing. Others, still, might not care and just wanna eat ‘em up at our own Fred’s New York in Barney’s at Scottsdale Fashion Square, where they’re available only during Sunday brunch.
You can tell this video was authentically made in New York, too, because some sort of oil drips down from the ceiling onto Strausman’s coat towards the end … Proving that either the BP spill is even worse than we thought, or that guy upstairs needs to fix a leak. Check it out:
