7-DAY EVENTIST
The Dish
If you want to save some moolah, you might go to happy hour. Or do a Groupon. Or mooch off your friends. But you might also book a “Passport” for the JW Culinary Festival of the Desert, a 7-day culinary event that starts tomorrow night at the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge. The Passport costs $30 but immediately hooks you up with a $45 credit towards dinner at any one of the four restaurants on property and 15% off any future dining thereafter at those restaurants. (Including Roy’s!)
The Festival kicks off with a free “Health & Wellness” cooking demo at 5pm tomorrow. Afterward, there’s a “Taste of Desert Ridge” featuring all the restaurants at 6pm ($20 entry).
The following days include a mix of free and ticketed events – from more cooking demos and cocktail mixing classes to full wine-pairing dinners and chocolate tastings. One thing you’ll definitely find us at: Friday’s 3pm Charles Krug tasting. It’s free and, well, it’s Charles Krug.
Although the Passport doesn’t necessarily get you into anything ticketed, it’s only available during this Fest. For more info, visit this link (www.jwdesertridgeresort.com) or click on this link: JW Culinary Festival in the Desert Activities.
