CREAM OF THE CROP
In The Spirit,Videos
Think that low-flow toilet’s enough to get you into green heaven? That’s some sustain-a-bullsh*t! You’ve got to green up your cocktails, too. Besides, the New York Daily News claims, “organic booze could be your new hangover helper” – and we’re all for that.
Shake up some eco-booze with Crop Vodka, “The Cleanest Vodka,” harvested from USDA certified organic Earth growth. Sounds healthy, but do we really need organic vodka to have a fun time? According to Intoxicated Zodiac the vodka is, “…awesome…they do taste farmer’s market fresh…NON GMO. That means you won’t be…lowering your sperm count for drinking it.” Sweet, because we had a feeling that Absolut was a baby killer.
Vodka has always been harvested from the earth in the form of potatoes, molasses, beets, wheat, and rye. But Crop’s, um, crop is harvested from “fertile and healthy soil, free of artificial fertilizers, pesticides and chemicals.” Then, the stuff’s all processed in a facility that meets USDA back-of-house guidelines. Learn more by watching the video interview with Crop’s head honcho, Joe Magliocco, posted above.
Crop’s crisp, fresh garden taste comes in Cucumber, Tomato, and traditional vodka Vodka. Try it for yourself at LV Bistro, The Grill at the Fairmont and The Phoenician. Or pick up a bottle at BevMo! and cue up one of these CUCUMBER DILL-ICIOUS cocktails at home:
2 parts Crop Organic Cucumber Vodka
1 part fresh lime juice
½ part agave nectar
Muddle cucumber and dill with lime juice
Add vodka and agave nectar
Garnish with sliced cucumber and dill leaf
