A while ago, we said that the recession would get so nasty, and resorts would get so desperate, that they’d start paying people to come stay. But we were only kidding.
Apparently, the super-trendy, Jonathan Adler-designed, Parker Hotel in Palm Springs isn’t kidding at all. They’re offering a package that has our names, wallets, and stomachs written all over it. And while more desert heat might not be what you’re looking for, perhaps this deal will sway your decision.
Book their Glutton’s Delight Package Sunday-Thursdays for $199 and get an estate room AND $200 worth of food credit!! Weekends it’s $249. You can use it in Mister Parker’s (above) for a fine dinner or in Norma’s Cafe for waffles and eggs.
They’re even offering a 3pm late check-out, so you can loll about and have a little longer to digest.
Of course, they will probably make a little money in resort fees, parking charges, and whatnot, but considering we were paying upwards of $300 to stay here not too long ago, it’s nice to finally see the balls in our court.
