So we’re in Whole Foods doing some shopping, and while on line to check out, we notice some guy there who has set up one of those little sampling tables, but instead of offering some strange tofu, or green chlorophyll drink, he has a bunch of wine bottles that he has cut and shaped into glassware.
This bares investigation and even a temporary departure from the checkout line.
As we inquire, the man there starts by telling us his name — Ray, and Ray is the owner of Refresh Glass. A very affable, guy, def hip & artsy, but not an annoying hippie.
He goes on to explain that he recycles wine bottles and through his magical process, he cuts them into drinking glasses of all sizes as pictured above. He tells us he can even put logos on them for promotional use — pretty nifty Ray.
The one caveat is they are a little pricey, but cooler things usual are right, especially when they are “good for the environment.”
