Green is good. Sustainable is good. Organic is good. Local is good.
All these mantras will be echoed on Tuesday, June 30th, as the Valley Forward Association presents a luncheon on sustainable, local farming and food.
At the luncheon, discussions on; how food gets to the table, the sustainable food and beverage industry, and the growing support for local resources. Also, what foods are safe and the true meaning of organic.
The panel and speakers include: Robert McClendon, owner of McClendon Farms; Leslie Curry, metro educator for Whole Foods Market; and Michael Stebner, executive chef at True Food Kitchen, and Chris Udall, Executive Director of the Agribusiness Council of Arizona, will serve as the forum moderator.
