THE INK AT ZINC
The Dish

EATERAZ HEARS—That blond-haired, white-shoed restaurateur Terry Ellisor (Zinc Bistro, The Mission) has been a very busy boy. Not only did he recently open The Mission with partners Matt Carter and Brian Raab, but he also sold out his position at John McDonald‘s newly renovated MercBar in the Esplanade.
Now Ellisor is planning to open a new spot soon in Biltmore Fashion Park. The new space should clock in around 4,600 square feet and fill the missing link that would make the Biltmore a true dining destination. With Christopher Gross “Crushing” it at Christopher’s and Michael Stebner at the heml of Sam Fox’s grand slam, True Food Kitchen, Ellisor would be smart to bring his longtime chef, Matt Carter, to the new op. When we asked him about bringing Carter along, he replied “Do you think I am out of my fuc*@8ing mind? I wouldn’t open anything without Matt Carter.” Although Ellisor is currently touting Carter’s involvement, nothing is inked.
Whatever happens, we ate rabbit at Zinc the other night and it was #$%^& delicious. Maybe the Biltmore needs a rabbit bistro.
