The Wall Street Journal‘s online Market Watch section, reports that “Pink Taco Closes Scottsdale Restaurant, Focuses Operations on Southern California.”

LOS ANGELES, Mar 31, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Nearly three years after making a home at the Scottsdale Waterfront, Pink Taco has closed its Arizona-based restaurant effective today.
“We have made the decision to focus on the Southern California region, where we have had great success with the brand,” stated Pink Taco President Arich Berghammer. “We are grateful to our many loyal patrons in Scottsdale over the last several years, and we will continue to have many fond memories of this wonderful market.”
Along with its original venue at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Pink Taco operates a restaurant at Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles, with plans for future locations in Hollywood, San Diego and other sites in Southern California.

Oh bummer. Now where will I go to enjoy that delicious Mexican delicacy of pink corn tortillas? And that Harry Morton is such a stand-up guy too . . . what a shame.
